The ability to tailor your plan or not

When employees join BT Super, they can invest in the default BT MySuper Lifestage investment option or choose from a range of other investment options that offer exposure to different asset classes and different levels of risk across a variety of investment managers. Alternatively, they have the ability to split their investment across many investment options.

BT MySuper Lifestage investment option

The BT MySuper Lifestage investment option is designed and managed according to a member’s age and is compliant with the Government’s requirements for a MySuper product. The option maintains an appropriate level of risk and return with an automatic adjustment of the asset mix throughout the member’s life. There is a unique BT MySuper Lifestage investment option for each decade – each one designed for members born within that decade. These funds are based on the premise that investment needs and a person’s approach to risk is linked to age. Since the funds are organised according to year of birth, it means that investors can stay within a fund for their whole life.

Advance Asset Management Limited manages the funds for BT Lifetime Super Employer Plan, while BT Investment Management (BTIM) manages the funds for BT Business Super.
